Privacy Policy

Overview

Our Family HQ is a private household organization app for families. It helps you manage calendars, tasks, meals, shopping lists, reminders, household members, and household sharing.

Information You Add

You may add household and family-member names, colors, tasks, calendar events, meal plans, shopping items, household roles, notification preferences, family notes, and optional profile photos.

Family Inbox And Imported Content

You can choose a photo, PDF, text file, or iCalendar file and ask Our Family HQ to turn its contents into an editable household draft. Selected content is processed on your device using Apple frameworks. You review the suggested items before anything is added to your household. Our Family HQ does not send the selected file or extracted text to Fifth & Form or to a developer-operated AI service.

Device Calendar Access

If you allow calendar access, Our Family HQ can show calendars you select and copy chosen event details into your household plan. Calendar access is optional. Private event notes are not copied. You can change calendar permission at any time in iOS or iPadOS Settings.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Our Family HQ stores household data on your device. When household sharing is enabled, that data can sync through Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit services using the Apple Account signed in on your device. Shared household data may be available to the people you invite through iCloud sharing.

This release does not use app account creation, advertising, analytics, or a developer-operated third-party data collection service.

Photos

If you choose a family profile photo, the photo is used for profile display inside Our Family HQ and may sync with the household through iCloud. Photos are not used for advertising or analytics.

Notifications

Our Family HQ can schedule local reminders on your device. Notification settings and reminder details are used only to deliver those reminders.

Household Sharing

Household sharing uses roles and Apple’s private iCloud and CloudKit sharing features. Each participant uses their own Apple Account. Only invite people you trust to access the household information you choose to share.

Your Choices And Data Access

You can view and edit household information inside the app. Settings includes an option to export the active household as a JSON file using Apple’s system file picker. The export can contain private family details; Fifth & Form does not receive or retain a copy.

You can stop sharing or leave a shared household from the household-sharing controls. You can also manage Our Family HQ data through your device and iCloud settings. Removing the app removes its local data from that device; data stored in iCloud is managed separately through your Apple Account and household-sharing choices.

Children

Our Family HQ is intended for household organization by families and caregivers. It does not provide public profiles, public posting, social networking, advertising, or unrestricted web access.
